THE WILD VOICES SALON

Sa-lon: An Intimate Evening of Spoken Word, Open Conversation + Good Company

Tuesday, October 27th · 7:30–10:30PM
Hosted by Moira and Harper
1 Clinton, Brooklyn, NY

What is a poetry salon?
Part reading, part conversation, part gathering of kindred spirits. Inspired by Zo Flamenbaum's debut book, Where the Wild Woman Grows, Wild Voices brings the intimate salon tradition - beloved in Zo's gatherings abroad - to Brooklyn.

The flow of the evening:

  • 7:30: Doors, drinks + mingling
  • 8:00: Readings from Where the Wild Woman Grows
  • 9:00: Open conversation: the room responds, shares, and swaps stories
  • 10:00ish: Closing circle + book signing

What you'll leave with:
Real conversation (not small talk), a room of new friends, poetry that stays with you - and a signed copy if you choose the book tier :)

No experience needed. You don't have to share...but you might want to.

Tix: $25 or $45 with book

[ No one turned away for lack of funds - please talk to me if you need > zoflamewrites@gmail.com ]

Book and handmade art will be available for sale.

Treats will be served.

Can't wait to see you!

Zo, Moira + Harper

"Zo creates salons and experieces that are trancendent and magical. By her moving words, she makes you feel, contemplate, connect, and disconnect, all at once. You leave somehow more present, more open, and more alive. Every experience she creates feels itimate and expansive."

MEET ZO

Zo Flamenbaum is a writer, poet + seasoned facilitator who has spent more than a decade bringing people together for the kinds of conversations we don’t have nearly enough.

She’s guided hundreds of workshops, circles + retreats designed to get people out of their heads, into their bodies + closer to their own voices. She’s the founder of School of Shine, a women’s self-development community that organically grew to more than 8,000 members, and the author of Where the Wild Woman Grows, her debut collection of not-ya-average poetry.

Born in Israel, raised in the Atlantic City area + based in Tel Aviv for the past 15 years, Zo is endlessly curious about what makes us who we are, what keeps us from fully expressing it + what becomes possible when we do.

This fall, she’s taking WILD VOICES on the road for the first time, bringing her work off the page + into rooms across the U.S.
