From First Contact to Post-Traumatic Growth is an Interactive, Trauma-Informed Training that explores the sexual assault response process from first disclosure, forensic examination, prosecution, and healing.

Through interactive scenarios and expert perspectives, participants will gain insight into how trauma can affect behavior, communication, memory, and engagement with the justice system and what a truly trauma-informed, survivor-centered response looks like.

Pure Praxis, an internationally recognized theater group, will bring first-contact encounters to life through realistic, interactive scenarios. A SANE nurse will explain the forensic examination process and provide practical insight to help advocates better prepare and support survivors. Cindi Nannetti, a seasoned Maricopa County prosecutor with extensive experience handling sexual assault cases, will discuss the challenges of prosecuting these often complicated cases.

The training concludes with a conversation about recovery, resilience, and post-traumatic growth, focusing on how professionals can support survivors throughout their healing journey.
