Students will learn the basics of operating a sewing machine, including threading and sewing in a straight line. We will cut fabric from a pattern, sew an upcycled coin purse and learn to attach a snap. We will also go over the concept of upcycling - where to source materials, why it's important and other things you can make from existing materials.
