Viva la Vida: Embroidery
Overview

The National Museum of Mexican Art in collaboration with Mather present Viva la Vida, a monthly workshop series tailored for adults 55+!

Adults ages 55+ are invited to join us for an immersive experience in the galleries, followed by an art-making activity. This month, we will highlight Where Memory Lives: 40 Years of Día de Muertos. In this workshop, we will create using embroidery on a hoop, further decorated our artworks with fabric markers and artificial flowers. 


Coffee and treats from local establishments will be provided. This program is free, but registration is required. If you have any questions, please contact angela@nationalmuseumofmexicanart.org.

Invitamos a los adultos mayores de 55 años a acompañarnos en una experiencia inmersiva en las galerías, seguida de una actividad de creación artística. Este mes, destacaremos la exposición Where Memory Lives: 40 Years of Día de Muertos. En este taller, realizaremos bordados en bastidor y decoramos nuestras obras con marcadores para tela y flores artificiales.
