‘Is This Okay’ Is a neo-soul flavored ride. With spoken word, old school hip/hop, classic R&B, and stunning choreography Ivan tells the story of a man trying to find his voice in a time where everything he says and does contradicts who he is and what he stands for.

Written & Choreographed by Ivan Cecil Walks (recipient of the Elliot Norton Award). Written like a film, disguised as a concert, ‘Is This Okay’ sheds light on the joy and angst that comes with living your truth in the midst of the everchanging chaos of adulthood. Examining the urge to float in prideful solitude when community holds the answer.
