Overview

An inspirational short film program and benefit about women who compete, work, and preserve on and under aquatic environments

Doors open at 6 pm to meet the filmmakers and enjoy refreshments, including a cash bar serving beer and wine.

General admission $35. A $100 contributor ticket includes preferred seating and a complimentary drink.

Short documentaries to be shown from 7 - 9 pm including:

  • Be Like Betty, Hannah Walsh and Emma Puchniak, producers • PREMIERE look at centenarian swimmer Betty Brussel
  • Lobster Queen, Alix Buck, dir • about lobstering captain Gail Atkinson
  • Skin Swimmer, Hannah Walsh and Emma Puchniak, producers • swmming the frigid waters of the Northwest
  • Chicas al Agua, Liz McGregor, dir • all-girls kayaking in Chilean Patagonia
  • Old Ladies Against Underwater Garbage, Liz McGregor, dir • women conserving ponds

Five short inspirational films from award-winning women filmmakers, highlighting women who are mastering aquatic environments through sport, work, and preservation.

Proceeds benefit Old Ladies Against Underwater Garbage and Hyannis Film Festival, part of Hyannis Arts Hall, at 81 Willow Avenue in Hyannis.
