This 4 hour tango music workshop with Caroline Pearsall (violin) and John Tuville (Piano) explores the arrangements of Carlos Di Sarli's orchestra from various perspectives:
- the role of the piano
- form and variation
- classical and non-classical elements and influences
- tango phrasing
- performance techniques
- stories and biography
You will be given copies of the sheet music beforehand. The pieces we will look at are:
Bahia Blanca, Catamarca, Comme Il Faut and Racing Club.
The instruments welcome to join are:
accordion, concertina, bandoneon, violin viola, cello, bass, guitar, flute, clarinet, sax, harmonica, piano
