第2次 g0v 矽谷灣區小聚 ： 台灣國會法案改革爭議｜在灣區的公民行動

【活動更新：台灣的國會改革法案爭議】
近期台灣國民黨和民眾黨提出的立法院職權行使法修正案，擴大立法委員的調查權，允許立法委員傳喚私人或政府官員接受質詢，拒絕出席可能面臨藐視國會的刑事指控。部分民眾認為由於推動過程缺乏透明度，​2024年5月21日聚集在立法院外，要求重新審議​。

這次 g0v 的灣區小聚，接續台灣 g0v 社群的「國會松」討論國會開放的改革，邀請「青鳥行動」現場的參與者與 READr 讀+ 的主編 HC，在線上分享台灣抗爭現場的現況，歡迎關心台灣現況的朋友一起了解。

Event Update: Taiwan's Legislative Reform Bill Controversy

Recently, the Kuomintang (KMT) and the Taiwan People's Party (TPP) proposed amendments to the Act Governing the Exercise of Legislative Power, which would expand the investigative powers of legislators. These amendments would allow legislators to summon private individuals or government officials for questioning, with those refusing to appear potentially facing criminal charges of contempt of the legislature. Some citizens believe that the lack of transparency in the process has sparked significant dissatisfaction. On May 21, 2024, protesters gathered outside the Legislative Yuan, demanding a review of the bill.

This g0v Bay Area meetup will continue the discussions from Taiwan's g0v community's "Parliament Hackathon" on legislative openness reforms. We have invited participants from the "Blue Bird Action" protests and HC, the editor-in-chief of READr, to share the current situation of the protests in Taiwan online. We welcome friends who are concerned about the current state of Taiwan to join us.

注意：這次場地在 Jen-Hsun Huang Engineering Center 305 教室（春陽茶室那棟三樓）

The third g0v event in the San Francisco Bay Area is coming!
The g0v meetup hopes to gather friends interested in public affairs, open-source collaboration, and Taiwan issues. Join us on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Palo Alto. Bring your laptop to eat, drink, chat, type, and interact with friends on site and g0v project leaders in Taiwan. Get to know g0v and the global civic tech community.

Note: This time, the event will be held in Room 305 of the Jen-Hsun Huang Engineering Center (the third floor of the building with Boba tea shop).

g0v 在灣區的活動終於來到了第二年，
作為 2024 年的第一場 g0v 小聚與一個多中心化的社群，這次的活動歡迎有興趣共同協作打造灣區的 g0v 社群、或是純粹對 g0v 有興趣的朋友一起來討論未來社群的方向與基礎建設，也開放參加者們報名自由提案或短講分享，歡迎來自各種不同領域、關心公共議題的朋友來參加！
g0v's activities in the Bay Area have finally entered their second year. As the first g0v meetup of 2024 and a decentralized community, this event welcomes those interested in collaboratively building the Bay Area g0v community, or simply those curious about g0v, to discuss the future direction and infrastructure of the community. Participants are also welcome to register for free proposals or short talks. We invite friends from various fields who care about public issues to join us!

利用 3 到 5 分鐘的時間將自己想做的事快速發表，並在活動現場尋找志同道合的夥伴，發揮各自所長，透過線上與線下協作的方式，用弄髒雙手的精神來「讓事情發生」，並透過開源的方式讓想法得以永續發展。Use 3 to 5 minutes to quickly present what you want to do and find like-minded partners at the event. Leverage your strengths, collaborate online and offline, and embody the spirit of "making things happen" hands-on. Enable your ideas to sustainably develop through open-source means.

只要是具備公益性、成果開源、動手做精神的點子，都非常適合提案！Any ideas with a focus on public good, open results, and a hands-on spirit are highly suitable for proposals!

在任何社群線上、線下活動使用含有影射性、暴力、與歧視的言語及意象，包括在黑客松、研討會、講座、工作坊、聚會、社群媒體、聊天室等場域，甚至源碼或各類文件中，皆是不恰當的。

All contributors retain ownership of all intellectual and industrial property rights of their respective contributions from the project (including but not limited to any code, documents, graphics, applications, website URLs etc), the g0v community (the event organizer) refrains from any actions involving the transfer or assertion of rights over these individual works.
