Come join us as we engage with speakers, interact with one another in workshops, network, and enjoy the camraderie and support of being part of this community. This conference is a unique opportunity to meet with people who experience BPD, expert clinicians, researchers, and family members of those who experience BPD, and stakeholders.


This year’s Yale-NEABPD Conference will feature a day-long hybrid (in-person or virtual conference) on Friday, May 10th, 2024 focused on destigmatizing borderline personality disorder.

Our day-long virtual conference will feature:

  • Keynote presentation by Dr. Carla Sharp, leading expert in research and treatment of chronic emotion dysregulation
  • A range of presentations by leading researchers and clinicians in the field, including Dr. Sara Masland, Dr. Aditi Vijay, Dr. Faria Kamal and Dominic Denning
  • Presentations by individuals with lived experience of borderline personality disorder and their family members
  • A poster session featuring the latest research and initiatives for borderline personality disorder
  • An Exhibition Hall with opportunities to visit our sponsors’ and exhibitors’ booths and resources

All conference events are open to mental health professionals, training clinicians, researchers, those with lived BPD experience, and their family members.

Continuing Education Credits:

We have been able to offer APA and NASW-CT continuing education credits in all of our past conferences. Applications have been submitted for this year’s conference and we will provide updated information once we are informed of approval status.

If approved receipt of CEUs requires you to attend the full conference live (either in-person or virtually) on Friday, May 10, 2024. CEUs will not be provided to professionals unable to attend the conference in it’s entirety on May 10, 2024. No reimbursements will be available to professionals unable to adhere to policies and procedures required to receive CEUs.

Professionals looking to receive continuing education credits must register as a professional. Please stay tuned for further information about CEUs, including details about eligible profession types and other requirements.

We will start our day with 3 separate breakfasts geared towards family members, people with lived experience and trainees. Feel free to come meet fellow conference attendees, mingle and share experiences.
