It is with great joy and excitement that we invite you to join the Huni Kuin Novo Futuro family from the heart of the Amazon, Samia Biruany and Maxi, for an evening of deep healing and transformation.

For the second time in the UK, we are offering something truly rare: a Community Pakarī Healing Circle, followed by Live Music where they will also be sharing the medicine of hapé. You may only join the Live Music if you can't join the Community Healing Circle.

Community Pakarī Healing Circle: starts at 6:00 PM until 7: 30 PM

Pakarīs are sacred ancestral chants, passed down from generation to generation, shared only in the most specific and intentional moments — when a person is receiving healing. This is not an offering that is shared lightly.

Biruany and Maxi will be present with each person in the circle, asking the spirits of the forest, Epa Kuxipa (Great Spirit), and the ancestors to guide a deep and powerful healing. They will smudge you with the medicine of Sēpa and, with no obligation, offer hapé and sananga.

HAPÉ, LIVE MUSIC & INDIGENOUS MARKET: starts at 7:30 PM until 10:00 PM

Representing the Siriani Group from Novo Futuro village, we will have Biruany and Maxi, whose divine feminine strength and powerful voices will blow you away. This evening will bathe you in the strong vibrations of some of the most talented and powerful txanás (people who carry the sacred chants and prayers) of Novo Futuro Village.

The sacred medicine of hapé (tobacco snuff) will be shared to help ground you and clear you of any physical, spiritual, or mental blocks. Hapé is a fine powder made from tobacco combined with a mixture of tree bark, herbs, and other medicinal plants. The receiving of this medicine is not compulsory.

This is a unique opportunity to receive hapé and be moved by the prayers of the feminine forces. Samia Biruany and Maxi, are two Huni Kuin spiritual healers who are joining us directly from the Brazilian Amazon. This is a unique opportunity to consecrate medicines that originate directly from the ancestral source of nature--a transformative experience.

THE HUNI KUIN PEOPLE

Huni Kuin means the “true people”, and they are one of the largest populations of Indigenous people in the state of Acre, Brazil. The Huni Kuin are well known for their healing prayers all around the world and for spreading their joy through their rituals and culture.

It is a pleasure to invite the Huni Kuin back to the Portico Gallery once again to spread their joyful magic with everyone, which is a key component in how they bring healing around the world.
