Celebrate an evening of Garba, Dandiya, music, culture and family fun with Rangoli Academy SF, in partnership with Asha for Education – San Francisco Chapter.

Whether your family dances Garba every year or you’ve never tried it before, everyone is welcome! Our Family Garba Night is designed to be more than just a dance event : it’s an interactive cultural experience for adults and children to enjoy together.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit Asha for Education – San Francisco Chapter, a nonprofit organization supporting educational opportunities for underprivileged children in India.

💃 Learn Garba and then Join the Dance Floor!

Never danced Garba before? No problem!

Our Garba instructors will teach guided Garba steps and routines, making it easy for beginners, children and families to join in. Once you’ve learned the moves, head to our dedicated Garba & Dandiya dance area and dance the evening away.

Experienced dancers are, of course, very welcome too!

🎨 Kids & Family Cultural Activity Zone

Not everyone wants to dance for three hours and younger children may want a change of pace.

We’ll have a separate family activity area where children and family members can take a break from the dance floor and explore hands-on activities such as:

Coloring • Indian-inspired stencils • Stickers • Creative activities • Henna/Mehend • “Get Your Name Written in Hindi” and more!

Children will also have an opportunity to learn about the cultural traditions surrounding Navratri and Garba through a fun, child-friendly presentation.

Stop by our Mehendi/Henna station and add a little extra festive flair to your evening!

🪔 A Celebration for the Whole Family

This event has been designed especially for families. Dance together, learn something new, create art, enjoy music, meet other families in the community, or simply sit back and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Come in your favorite festive Indian attire or whatever you feel comfortable dancing in!

Come hungry! Food vendors will be available during the event, with food available for purchase separately.
