Peace and Democratic Integration Conference 2026
A two-day London conference bringing together Kurdish and international voices to advance dialogue for lasting peace.
The Peace and Democratic Integration Conference, convened by the Centre for Kurdish Affairs, will take place in London on 29–30 September 2026. The two-day event will bring together Kurdish political leaders, policymakers, parliamentarians, academics, peace practitioners, and civil society representatives to discuss opportunities for achieving a peaceful and democratic resolution to the Kurdish question in Turkey.
The conference will examine lessons from international peace processes, including Northern Ireland and the Basque Country, alongside Kurdish perspectives on political participation, governance, rights, and regional developments. It aims to foster informed dialogue on the legal, political, and institutional conditions needed to support a durable peace, democratic inclusion, and successful reintegration following recent developments in Turkey's peace process. With contributions from leading international experts and Kurdish political figures, the conference seeks to promote inclusive dialogue and strengthen international engagement in support of a lasting political settlement.
