Overview
Come join us for a two session workshop where you will build, program, and animate content for your own LED sculpture.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A TWO-DAY WORKSHOP, AND BOTH DAYS ARE REQUIRED. The workshop will have part 1 on 9/23, and part 2 on 9/30, each from 6:30-9:30pm.
We will provide you with the 5V LEDs, frame, controller, and all required components. You will explore materials for diffusion and decoration, and customize the animation using WLED.
9/23 - Session 1: Controller, lights, frame assembly
- Assemble frame and insert lights into either a hexagon or square frame
- Connect the controller and configure WLED
- We will have some materials that you can begin playing with for diffusing the lights - mostly you will complete covering the piece and customizing it at home.
9/30 - Session 2: Connect and Animate.
- Share progress on your pieces and the concept or theme for your display
- Animate content using WLED
- Work on completing decoration of your piece
