Special Guest this month is Marc Beechuk from Athens Clarke County Planning and Zoning.

Marc is the Assistant Director of ACC Planning, he started with the department in

2013 and also had a stint as the Planning Director of Covington, GA. He holds

planning degrees from the University of Cincinnati and University of Georgia where

he teaches Master’s planning students. His focus has been on municipal operations,

housing and policy. Marc is a certified Planner, Arborist and Board Member of the

Atlanta chapter of Congress for the New Urbanism. In his spare time, Marc is often

eating at random greasy spoons, hiking and camping with his dogs, kayaking, chain

sawing, enjoying a book or coordinating the regional Academic Bowl league.
