Improv inspired by real-life embarrassment, as true stories and cringeworthy artifacts become hilarious scenes, characters, and connections.
Presented by Jet City Improv in partnership with the producers of Salon of Shame
What happens when your most embarrassing memories become the inspiration for comedy?
Improv of Shame is a cathartic, hilarious collision of true-life humiliation and long-form improv. The show begins with brave guest readers sharing real artifacts from their past: cringeworthy adolescent writing, old diaries, unsent letters, bad poetry, and other relics best left forgotten.
Those painfully honest confessions then fuel an Armando-style improv set, as Jet City Improv transforms moments of shame into scenes, characters, and unexpected connections.
The stories are real. The improv is made up. The embarrassment is universal.
