Samba no Pé Workshop - Égili Oliveira

Egili is best known for her commanding presence in Rio de Janeiro's world-famous Carnaval parade, notably serving as the Rainha de Bateria (Queen of the Drum Section) for prestigious samba schools like Acadêmicos do Vigário Geral and Inocentes de Belford Roxo. She travels the globe conducting high-energy "Samba no Pé" workshops, empowering dancers of all levels by teaching technique, posture, and the deep afro-cultural history behind the dance. Her work focuses heavily on Black representation, the empowerment of women in the arts, and preserving the ancestral roots of Brazilian samba.
