Walk, Wellness & Community: A Ward 8 Health Council Celebration

Join the Ward 8 Health Council for movement, connection, reflection, and nourishment as we celebrate our community and the work we’ve done together.

This special September gathering will be a little different from our usual Health Council meeting. It's my 40th birthday so we’re stepping away from an agenda and making space to walk, connect, celebrate, and enjoy one another.

We’ll begin with a community wellness walk with Wake the 8, creating an opportunity to move together, reconnect with familiar faces, meet new ones, and reflect on the people and partnerships that continue to make Ward 8 stronger.

Following the walk, we’ll gather at DC Health for brunch.

What to Expect

Fellowship and a good meal.

Celebration & Reflection
A chance to celebrate the relationships, collaboration, and collective work that make the Ward 8 Health Council possible.

Community Connection
Time to catch up, meet others, and simply be together outside of our usual meeting format.

This is not a traditional Health Council meeting, it’s a chance to pause, breathe, move, eat, and celebrate.
