Autumn Sound Bath ~ Rest, Release and Renew

Autumn Sound Bath ~ Rest, Release and Renew

Overview

Enjoy an hour of relaxation, immersive sound, and quiet—a chance to slow down and recharge as the seasons change.

The sound bath will take place in the Koelbel Library's Room A, on the first floor.

What to Expect

Give yourself the gift of an hour dedicated to rest and renewal as we transition into the fall season.

This community sound bath is designed to help you slow down, settle into the present moment, and experience the calming effects of an immersive sound journey. No previous experience with yoga, meditation, or sound baths is needed.

The session will include:

  • A brief welcome and introduction
  • A few minutes of gentle seated movement to release tension and prepare for stillness
  • A short guided relaxation to help you settle comfortably
  • An immersive sound experience featuring crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, Zaphir chimes, rainstick, and Native American drum
  • Several minutes of quiet silence to absorb the experience
  • A gentle transition back to full awareness

Most participants choose to lie comfortably on a yoga mat during the sound experience, but you are welcome to remain seated in a chair if that is more comfortable for your body.

What to Bring

To help you relax comfortably, please bring:

  • A yoga mat or other comfortable padding
  • A blanket (to cover yourself or folded as a pillow)
  • A pillow or bolster (optional but recommended)
  • An eye pillow or eye mask (optional)
  • Water
  • Comfortable clothing

The more comfortable you are, the more you can simply rest and enjoy the experience.

Before You Register

This experience is intended for relaxation and includes periods of resonant sound and extended quiet. If you have sound sensitivity, sound-triggered migraines, tinnitus, epilepsy, or another medical condition that may be affected by prolonged sound, please consult your healthcare provider if you have questions about whether this experience is appropriate for you.

You are always welcome at any time to change positions, sit in a chair, or quietly step outside if needed. Please honor your body's needs throughout the session.

I look forward to welcoming you to an hour of rest, release, and renewal.
