Opening Reception for Off the Wall: Steffani Jemison

Be the first to see Steffani Jemison's multi-media commission for the Moody's Off the Wall series, Untitled (Same Time / black bird). Sited inside the Brochstein Pavilion, the wall-length installation addresses how shared spaces are imagined and who or what belongs within them. Jemison incorporates lenticular prints of avian imagery, references to "bird scare" tape, and a reclaimed theatrical backdrop of a generic main street to convey a relationship between visual illusions and the social constructs of belonging and trespassing.
