Songwriter Sessions Series was a Hey Dave Music 'Listening Room Experience" created in 2019 with many of its shows held at the Redstone Room in the Quad Cities. Since then it has branched out as a traveling show.

This show features:

Amelia White is a celebrated singer-songwriter based in Nashville, known for her prolific songwriting across rock, country, and folk genres. Her music has been described as a blend reminiscent of Lucinda Williams and Tom Petty, showcasing her unique style and storytelling ability.

Megan Palmer is an artist’s artist, who has carved a singular path in the East Nashville music scene. Originally from Ohio, Palmer moved to East Nashville 10 years ago and quickly became one of the most sought after multi-instrumentalist and singers in the scene, backing up artists such as Tim Easton, Amy Speace, Anne McCue, Darrin Bradbury and many others. But lately, it’s her own work as a songwriter that has been catching notice and gaining critical raves. A naturally gifted musician, her voice sings an unembellished truth and her songs are portraits of longing and hope. Alongside her music career, Palmer has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years and currently works at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. It is that unique dichotomy, artist and healer, that defines Megan Palmer’s healing music.

David G Smith is a seasoned touring artist and regular at Nashville's Tin Pan South Songwriter Festival and host/performer at the Bluebird Cafe/Nashville. Performed for 5K Eagle Scouts in an arena event. Has worked with Keb Mo, Justin Townes Earle, Rambilin' Jack Elliott, Rory Block and others. Songs have charted around the world and have appeared on TNT, Lifetime, Travel Channel & PBS.

The potluck is optional, but is a great chance to connect others in the audience and maybe even share a meal with the artist. It also helps ensure the artist isn't having to have a meal from a gas station. We'll provide the plates, bowls, silverware, napkins, and, if you need it, serving spoons. Feel free to bring anything you'd like--an entrée, appetizer, dessert, or drink to share. Bring something you will enjoy eating, because if you enjoy it it is likely others will as well.
