Preserving the voices, wisdom, and stories that shape us. A meaningful legacy video featuring someone important in your life or community.
🌱 This workshop is part of TWST Sowing Season's commitment to sowing into families and strengthening connections across generations. The goal isn't simply to complete a video—it's to teach young women how to honor the people who came before them, preserve stories that might otherwise be lost, and recognize the value of the wisdom around them.
🎥 This will be a storytelling workshop where you will learn how to interview, listen, and create a meaningful legacy video featuring someone important in their lives or in their community.
Each TWST girl will choose one of two Legacy Tracks:
👨👩👧 Family Legacy: Interview a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or other family member whose story, wisdom, traditions, or experiences deserve to be remembered.
🏘️ Community Legacy: Interview a trusted elder or community leader whose life and contributions have helped shape the community.
🎤 During the workshop, you will learn how to ask thoughtful, open-ended questions, listen for meaningful stories, navigate sensitive moments with care, and capture quality video and audio.
No professional filming experience is required. You will use a phone or tablet when available. If you don’t have one, we’ll help provide a loaner or another option so you can fully participate.
