About Rose MillerAs a long-time Human Resources professional, executive coach, consultant, and author, I have always believed that some of the most meaningful HR lessons are also the simplest to understand—if they're presented in a way that people remember. That belief inspired me to write Rose's Recipes for Business: A Tasty Blend of HR Lessons Learned, a collection of engaging stories that uses food and cooking analogies to illustrate practical Human Resources principles. Each chapter pairs a familiar recipe or culinary experience with a real-world workplace lesson, making complex HR concepts approachable, memorable, and immediately applicable. For example, the chapter "Aging Produce" teaches lessons about leveraging an aging workforce and also touches upon what to do when a tenured worker is no longer qualified to do the job.Rather than offering another textbook on employment law or management theory, the book focuses on the human side of Human Resources—leadership, communication, workplace culture, ethics, accountability, employee engagement, conflict resolution, hiring, coaching, and organizational effectiveness. My goal was to create a resource that HR professionals and people managers could enjoy reading while finding practical insights they could immediately apply in their organizations.

About Karen LombardoI am Karen Lombardo, Founder and Owner of The Virtual Copywriter LLC and Chip and Tillie Books LLC, located in Niskayuna, New York. Writing is something I have always loved to do, with or without that cup of coffee. Meeting and engaging with people, both personally and professionally, make it feel like fun, not work. How lucky am I?I craft stories that span life’s full spectrum, from playful children’s books about dogs to professional service content. My approach blends creativity with strategic communication, assisting start-ups and small businesses in developing engaging website copy, blog posts, and email campaigns. Whether telling a couple’s love story, highlighting a graduate’s future plans, or capturing a company’s distinctive brand voice, I listen carefully to turn authentic human experiences into words that genuinely reflect you or your business. That's my mission.

About Tahnya BrownTahnya Brown never planned to become a caregiver. But when her father moved in at the beginning of the pandemic, life had other plans. What followed was a journey that challenged everything she thought she knew about family, responsibility, and herself. That experience eventually inspired her to write Blurred, a memoir exploring the overwhelming, heartbreaking, humorous, and unexpectedly beautiful realities of caregiving.Building on her experience, Tahnya created The Reprieve, a newsletter combining honest storytelling, humor, and practical resources for caregivers.Through her writing, speaking, and coaching, Tahnya shares the realities of caregiving, the lessons learned through experience, and the knowledge she wishes she’d had from the beginning. Her goal is to help caregivers navigate the challenges ahead, advocate for themselves and their loved ones, and know they don’t have to figure it all out alone.
