Support Your Blood Sugar with Herbs and Seaweed!

Support Your Blood Sugar with Herbs and Seaweed!

Overview

Blood sugar dysregulation has many causes, some super surprising. Come and learn from Mo Katz-Christy the best ways to support your body!

Our bodies evolved with medicinal plants and seaweeds, and we can use them to help us return to balance. In this class, we will discuss all the many facets that can lead to blood sugar dysregulation including generational trauma, chronic stress, genetic predisposition, food insecurity, microbiome imbalance, and more.

When our bodies are craving sugar, there’s usually another unmet need that we are missing. We’ll learn how to identify and meet that underlying need and work with plants and seaweeds that are specific to our bodies. We’ll touch on how to work with herbs safely along with diabetes medications.

Whether you’re constantly hangry, are prediabetic and trying to lower your blood sugar, or have diabetes and want to learn how to support your body more holistically, this class is for you!

Bio
Mo Katz-Christy (they/them) is a queer Ashkenazi Jewish clinical herbalist and educator in Boston, MA on unceded Massachusett land. They approach herbalism by connecting folks to the knowledge they already have about their body and herbs through working with kitchen medicine, ancestral traditions, and mulberries falling on the sidewalk!

Mo teaches herb classes and programs at over 40 different sites in New England. They work one-on-one with clients, in Somerville and virtually, to address the root imbalances that are causing dysregulation and to promote long-term healing, focusing on gut health.
