International Observe the Moon Night at Memorial Park

Join observers around the world as we come together to celebrate Earth's Moon! International Observe the Moon Night is an annual event where everyone on Earth is invited to learn about lunar science and exploration, take part in celestial observations, and honor cultural and personal connections to the Moon.

Memorial Park Conservancy and Houston Astronomical Society are joining forces to offer a fun filled evening of moongazing, stargazing and wonder! Founded in 1955, Houston Astronomical Society is an active community of enthusiastic amateur and professional astronomers with over 70 years of history in the Houston area. Through education and outreach, their programs promote science literacy and astronomy awareness.
