HallowQueen: Drag & Burlesque Spectacular

Welcome to a Halloween fever dream.

Join the Bisexual Resource Center for HallowQueen, a night of drag, burlesque, costumes, strong drinks, and seasonal debauchery in the back room at Bully Boy Distillers.

Doors open and music starts at 7 PM. The costume contest is at 9 PM. We want glamour, horror, camp, obscure references, and costumes that require an explanation. Prizes will be awarded to the looks that impress us most. Performances will follow.

Tickets are $10, and every dollar goes directly toward paying our performers. Bring singles to tip your performers. Applause are great but doesn’t fold into a breast plate.

This party is for the whole alphabet: bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, gay, ace, trans, nonbinary, queer, questioning, and every gorgeous person/ghoul who wants to celebrate Halloween with us.

Food will be available for purchase, but you’re also welcome to bring your own food. Street parking is available but limited, so carpooling and ridesharing are strongly encouraged (plus, safe driving is sexy).

Dress code: Halloween costumes, queer horror, camp nonsense, full glamour, or whatever transformation has been waiting for its moment.

House rules: Keep it cute. Ask for consent. Flirt like a grown-up. Don’t drink too much and embarrass yourself. Don’t be a creep. Creeps will be kicked to the curb.

Finding us:

Bully Boy really is a speakeasy, so the entrance can be tough. Look for #44 BBD with a horse above the door. Walk into the lobby, then go through the door straight ahead marked with the chemical formula for alcohol. You’ll enter the bar. Keep walking toward the back until you find the big open room with pinball machines and casks. If you get lost, ask a bartender.
