The FIU Symphony Orchestra closes the 2026 FIU Music Festival with Frederick Kaufman’s Concerto for Cello and Strings, Kaddish, featuring guest artist Jason Calloway of the Amernet String Quartet, FIU’s Artist-in-Residence Ensemble. This powerful work by FIU’s founding School of Music director brings the anniversary festival to a fitting close, celebrating the School’s history and the musical legacy of one of its most influential figures.
