Pet First Aid - NSPCA Adult Education (In Person @ NSPCA Dublin)
This is a one day workshop for adults in person at the DSPCA in Rathfarnham.
When your pet needs you most, would you know what to do?
Pets are family. Just like us, they can have accidents, sudden illnesses, or emergencies when we least expect them. In those critical moments, your actions can make a real difference.
Pet first aid doesn’t replace veterinary care but it can save precious time. It helps you recognise the signs of an emergency, stay calm under pressure, comfort your pet, and reduce the risk of their condition worsening while you’re getting professional help.
This course empowers you with the confidence and practical skills to act when every second counts. You’ll learn how to respond safely and effectively to common pet emergencies, giving your pet the best possible chance until they can be seen by a vet.
Learning pet first aid is designed to be engaging, hands-on, and enjoyable, while still delivering vital, potentially life-saving knowledge. Whether you’re a devoted pet owner or work professionally with animals, this course equips you with skills you’ll hopefully never need but will be endlessly grateful to have.
Ideal for:
- Pet owners who want to protect their furry family members
- Pet professionals seeking essential emergency skills
By understanding basic pet first aid, you gain the ability to support your pet, reduce pain and distress, and prevent conditions from deteriorating before veterinary treatment is available.
Location: DSPCA, Mount Venus Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16
