An experience of wild nature and untold beauty

The High Tatra Mountains boast Slovakia's most spectacular views and have been identified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Join us on this easy 4-day escape discovering the roof of Central Europe.


On this adventure, we will experience both the Eastern and Western parts of the the Tatras National Park (TANAP) with enchanting trails through wild nature of untold beauty. Plus, we also get to visit Slovakia's #2 city Kosice.


Note: The High Tatras are inhabited by wild deer, lynx, chamois and bears. While actual encounters are rare, it is mandatory to respect the environment and heed the National Park's safety rules at all times.


AGENDA DAY 1

  • Meetup at Vienna Main Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof)
  • Scenic train ride to the Tatras via Bratislava along the Váh river
  • Change to mountain tram for last section
  • Hotel check-in
  • Hrebrienok hike (~3 hours)
  • Traditional Slovak dinner

AGENDA DAY 2

  • Buffet breakfast
  • Tatranska Magistrala hike (with lunch break)
  • Tatranska Lomnica village
  • Train ride back to Vienna, arriving past 20:45

Underway we'll have fun with ice breakers, discussion prompts and local trivia.Total time: 2 days / 1 night

Value and booking

Price includes organization, train tickets, shared 3 or 4-star accommodation (gender-separated) with dinner and breakfast, local taxes and friendly host. Discounts available for early birds, repeat participants and groups. Optional lunch is at your own expense.
