Join us for a leisurely walk along the Kohala Hema coastline as we cruise from ʻŌhaiʻula (Spencer Beach Park) to Mauʻumae Beach for a swim!
E hele mai kākou, join as on our huakaʻi from ʻŌhaiʻula (aka Spencer Beach Park) to Mauʻumae. We will discuss the cultural and ecological legacies of this remarkable section of the Kohala Hema coastline as we journey along at a gentle pace. Once we get to Mauʻumae, we will spend a few hours chillin at the beach enjoying the kai :)
We will park at Spencer's and meet in the parking lot at 10am. The walk is about a mile (20 mins) and takes place along natural terrain, which is mostly flat but can be a bit rugged and rocky. Please note that you will also need to walk back to your car afterwards, making this a 2-mile roudtrip walk.
Please bring the following:
- swim gear
- snorkels/ masks
- towel
- lunch or snacks
- plenty water
- sunscreen/ sun protection
There are no bathrooms at Mauʻumae, so go shishi/ kūkae at Spencer's before we depart!
Any questions, please email me at avalonparadea@gmail.com. See you then!
