Nearly two decades ago, Dawit Gebremichael Habte made his home in the Washington, DC area, building a life, a family, and a community as an immigrant from Eritrea. Now, we’re honored to welcome him to the Eritrean Cultural & Civic Center for the official launch of his multi-city book tour for Roots of Grace: Family, Community, and the Untold Story of Eritrea.
Through his journey from Eritrea to fatherhood in America, Dawit shares personal lessons about family, immigration, community, and the generations who came before us. At the heart of the book is a reminder that these lessons do not belong to any one of us alone. They are values, wisdom, and experiences we carry and share freely with our brothers and sisters.
