What happens when live jazz meets live mind-reading?

Sound Minds brings an unusual evening of music, mystery and psychological entertainment to Malelani Café in Philadelphia's Mt. Airy neighborhood.

Mentalist Nicholas Gentry joins a live jazz ensemble for an intimate performance in which classic jazz and impossible demonstrations of thought, intuition and influence share the same room.

This isn't a magic show with jazz playing in the background, or a jazz concert with a few tricks between songs. Sound Minds is built around the interplay between the two: improvisation, attention, communication and the strange things that can happen when people really pay attention to one another.

Expect live jazz, audience participation, humor and mind-reading at close range—all inside one of Northwest Philadelphia's intimate neighborhood arts spaces.
