Finding inspiration through natural connections
The natural world is a source of wonder and inspiration. Naturalist Michael Clough and Heathen witch Trey Moonwood bring together both ecological and spiritual perspectives in an exploration of the wisdom we can find outdoors. This two-hour workshop will create space for participants to slow down and reflect as night falls in the forest. There will be an opportunity for setting intention, silent meditation in the woods, and guided group discussion, all offering a focus on how personal experience and scientific knowledge can support spiritual wisdom and insight.
This event will be held in person in Marlboro, VT - directions sent out after registration. Rain or shine; participants should dress for the weather and be prepared to be outdoors the majority of the time.
Sliding scale $15-$25. There will be a limited number of participants so please register early.
Trey Moonwood (they/them) is a hellerune witch and seeress in the Heathen tradition. They founded the Chase Hill kindred in Vermont in 2010 and served as their leader for 13 years, before turning their focus fully to the lost threads of Heathen magical practice. Trey’s work and teachings center around reconnecting with the greater-than-human world, understanding the perspectives of ancient Heathen cultures, and making space for silence and stillness to bring wisdom.
Michael Clough (he/him)is a naturalist and environmental educator with a career spanning over 30 years. He brings a depth and breadth of experience working with varied age groups, demographics and ability levels with a special interest in the ecology of the Northeast and how humans engage with the natural world. Michael believes an interactive and immersive approach is the best way to understand the natural world and cites Aldo Leopold, Thoreau and his upbringing in the rivers and forests of central Vermont as significant influences.
