North Brooklyn Chess | Parkhouse Summer Residency

North Brooklyn Chess summer residency at the McCarren Parkhouse.

Tucked into McCarren Park House, North Brooklyn Chess is where Greenpoint gathers every Thursday from 7-11pm.

Each week looks a little different — a chess night here, a comedy show there, live music, open mics, a sweaty fitness class, a few hands of cards — but the thread running through all of it is the same: community, built locally and led by neighbors who show up for each other. Pull up a chair.

Each ticketed week we will bring one to two chess masters, coaches, or titled chess players for our "challengers corner". These will be high-skill games, in Blitz or Bullet format. Test your skills and learn from the pros!

We consistently provide casual, social chess all night long. All chess boards, pieces and clocks are provided. Beginner friendly. All age and skill levels welcome. Sometimes free, sometimes ticketed. RSVPs encouraged and tickets are always available at the door.
