Direct Feedback Weekly Drop-In with Nan Kirkpatrick
Level Up Your Improv with scene reps and direct individual feedback in this weekly drop-in with different instructors every week!

In this weekly drop-in, students will have the opportunity to perform scenes with specific feedback from one of our awesome instructors focusing on both basic and advanced skills! Enrollment in this class is purposely capped at 12 students to allow for more direct feedback and to ensure students will have ample stage time.
The prerequisite for this class is completion of Level Two Improv at Stomping Ground Comedy Theater or the equivalent at another training center.
This course will include:
- Warm ups and disposable scenes
- Two and three person scenes with feedback
- Running simple formats with notes focused on scene work
About The Instructor:
Nan Kirkpatrick (they/them) graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in English, where they focused their studies on writing. A lifelong vocal and instrumental performer, they’ve performed over the past 15 years with local rock bands Frauen, Little Beards, and most recently Morgue Drawer. Nan loves television, and during the pandemic they met with a friend from Chicago over Zoom to write TV pilots as a way to keep creative and not lose their mind. That’s what led them to Stomping Ground in September 2022 — they figured improv might be a fun new tool for their writing toolbox. Turns out that’s true, but they also discovered a love of improv performance. They perform in Welcome to Your Town, Vocal Fried, Whose Mind is it Anyway, Crazy Hot People, and New News News Crew, and they’ve written for It’s Giving Thanks, a Thanksgiving sketch comedy revue.
This is a one time drop-in class held on Tuesday, September 29th from 7-9:30pm. The instructor is Nan Kirkpatrick. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
