Na Zhong, writer, translator, and co-founder of Accent Accent, presents her debut novella Three, an expansive yet personal story of a prideful teacher, her husband, their quietly rebellious daughter, and a town changed by the breakneck pressures of modernization. "A story of recent China but also a universal tale of young women's emancipation, Three is a taut and nuanced excavation of maternal love, family bond, and the cost of ambition and change," (Yiyun Li, author of The Book of Goose)—for fans of Annie Ernaux’s The Years. Zhong reads and discusses the book with award-winning novelist Rachel Heng (The Great Reclamation), before an audience Q&A and signing.
