10.000 Peacock Feathers in Foaming Acid

one-of-a-kind collaboration between artists Evelina Domnich and Dmitry Gelfand, and musicians Richard Barrett and Milana Zarić.

A laser enters the skin of a soap bubble (the liquid crystal ancestor of a cellular membrane) and splits up into microscopic optical tracks. During the performance, these filamentous tracks meander through clusters of hemispherical bubbles, which serve as molecule-thin lenses for a 360° laser projection. Harp and electronics sounds resonate within this colourful micro world.
