Kids Holiday Program - Social Skills and Public Speaking Coaching

Sprout’s Kids Holiday Program is a one-week personal development and public speaking experience for children ages 6–17.

This session focuses on Social Competence and Confidence. Children learn to understand social situations, manage themselves, relate well to others, and respond with confidence and respect.

At Sprout, we develop the child before focusing on speech. Public speaking allows children to demonstrate growth in their thinking, conduct, confidence, and communication.

Children will practice how to:

• Greet people and introduce themselves confidently
• Listen and take turns in conversations
• Read tone, body language, and social cues
• Adjust their speech for different people and settings
• Join groups and build healthier friendships
• Handle correction, disagreement, mistakes, winning, and losing
• Express opinions and boundaries respectfully
• Dress and present themselves appropriately for different occasions
• Speak before an audience with clarity and confidence

Children learn through demonstrations, role-play, group activities, coaching, feedback, and repeated practice. They are placed in age-appropriate groups:

• Sprout Spark: Ages 6–9
• Teen Titan: Ages 10–13
• Sprout Stars: Ages 14–17

Parents attend a complimentary Wednesday webinar to understand what children are learning and how to support continued progress at home.

In-person programs conclude with a Saturday Showcase, where children present an original message before family and invited guests. Online participants receive details about their concluding presentation separately.

No previous public speaking experience is required. Classes are limited to 12 children per age group.
