Friends of Codey’s NOLA offers Food Manager Certification training and testing for food entrepreneurs, restaurant professionals, caterers, mobile vendors, kitchen managers, and others responsible for food safety.

The session requires instructional time and the Food Manager certification exam.

How much is registration?

General Registration: $100
Current Friends of Codey’s Tenants: $50

Tenant pricing is available only to active Friends of Codey’s tenants.

How many people are allowed in each class?

Each class is limited to a maximum of 10 participants.

Registration is first come, first served.

What do I need to bring?

You must bring:

A laptop or iPad
A pen
Paper or a notebook
A valid government-issued photo ID

Please arrive with your device fully charged and ready to use.

Do I need to purchase a book?

No. Food Manager training books are provided for use during class only.

Books must remain onsite and be returned before leaving.

Do I need to stay for the entire class?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There is a mandatory instructional time requirement.

Please plan to remain onsite for the full class and testing period. This is not a drop-in exam session.

Leaving early may make you ineligible to complete the course or exam.

What happens if I am late?

Please arrive on time.

The doors will be locked 30 minutes after the scheduled start time.

Once the doors are locked, participants will not be admitted.

Late arrival does not qualify for a refund, credit, transfer, exchange, or rescheduling.

Is there a lunch break?

Yes. The lunch period is 30 minutes.

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring lunch, snacks, and beverages with them.

While a working lunch is not mandatory, the lunch period is often best used for review, study, and exam preparation.

Can I receive a refund?

No. All registrations are final.

There are:
No refunds, exchanges, date changes, rescheduling, transfers to another person, credits for future classes, refunds or credits for no-shows, refunds or credits for late arrivals, and refunds or credits for leaving early.

What if I forget my ID, laptop, or iPad?

Participants who do not have the required identification or technology may be unable to test.

Failure to bring required items does not qualify for a refund, credit, transfer, or replacement date.

Does attending the class guarantee certification?

Accepted Answer

No.

Participants must complete the required instructional time, comply with testing procedures, and achieve the required passing score.

What happens if I do not pass the exam?

Unless specifically stated otherwise, retesting is not included in the original registration fee.

Participants who wish to retest must register and pay for another available exam session  (discounted rates may be available.

What are the testing rules?

Phones and devices must be put away.
Talking or communicating with other participants is prohibited.
Outside assistance is not permitted.
Exam materials may not be photographed, recorded, copied, or shared.
Violators may be removed without a refund or credit
