Le Cercle Littéraire Irlandais is delighted to celebrate two talented young artists:
Fiona Fauchois – Soprano & Performer
Nataliya Nikolskaya – Pianist & Performer
Produced by Fiona Fauchois, Uisce – A Tale of Salt and Wood draws on Kathleen Handrick’s fictional monologue, inspired by the life of Michael Rogers (1860–1936), a seanchaí and prisoner at Frongoch internment camp. The performance interweaves words from Handricks’s text with songs by Samuel Barber and Benjamin Britten.
