What happens when AI amplifies people? The most promising future may not be one where machines take over. It may be one where AI augments human knowledge, creativity, and judgment. Drawing on his work at the leading edge of AI acceleration and innovation, Kyle shares real examples of humans and AI achieving more together right now, and looks ahead to how agentic AI could dramatically expand what people and organizations can accomplish. You'll leave with a grounded, optimistic take on building a partnership with AI that makes us more capable, without losing what makes us human.

🎤 Speaker: Kyle Bowen is Deputy Chief Information Officer at Arizona State University, where he leads strategic efforts to harness technology for institutional growth across areas like AI acceleration, learning experience, and disruptive innovation. A former leader at Penn State and Purdue, he is an entrepreneur, frequent speaker on technology's role in education, and co-author or editor of more than 20 books on design, online development, and usability. His work has appeared in the New York Times, USA Today, and the Chronicle of Higher Education.

The night is designed as a three-part talk experience, with guided table discussions between each chapter, so you can engage with the ideas and connect with the people around you.

Hundred Mile Brewing Company is a woman-owned, woman-brewed craft brewery near Tempe Town Lake, founded by ASU microbiology grad Sue Rigler. Its 10-barrel brewhouse turns out small-batch beers—from the 'A' Mountain Amber Ale to the Desert Neon Hazy IPA.

🍺 Drinks: A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. Food will not be served in our event room, but Hundred Mile Brewing serves food if you’d like to eat there before the talk.
