Community in Every Box: A Matcha Nude Volunteer Gathering

🍏 Help Us Pack Fresh Produce for Our Community

Help us pack fresh, colorful produce for our community markets! Volunteers will prepare market boxes by filling them with a variety of fruits and vegetables, then assembling and stacking them on pallets for distribution. Join us behind the scenes and make a big impact, one box at a time.

📍 Location: 1038 Old US Hwy. 70, Black Mountain, NC

What You'll Do:

• Pack items into boxes according to the provided list
• Assemble boxes in order, making sure all items are included
• Close boxes securely and stack them neatly on pallets
• Work together with other volunteers to keep the process smooth and efficient

Who This Is Great For:

• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Detail-oriented folks who like making sure things are done right
• Anyone able to follow instructions and stay organized

Good to Know Before You Sign Up:

• This is a standing role with lifting, packing, and repetitive movement throughout the shift
• You'll be lifting and moving boxes in the 20-50 lb range
• Age 18+
• Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes; gloves will be provided
• This is an indoor, high-energy environment that can get loud with music and acoustics. If you're sensitive to sound, bring earplugs or earbuds
• Stay flexible! Roles and tasks may shift a bit based on what's needed that day

• Contributed over $83,000 in farm purchases, helping local farms stay viable
• Distributed over 115 tons of local food to people experiencing food insecurity
• Provided over 40,376 seedlings to local farmers
• Contributed 7,500 hours of service learning volunteer hours to local farm operations

Why Matcha Nude Is Here
Throughout the year, Matcha Nude staff and volunteers from the NC community come together with Bounty & Soul, whether that's produce distribution, food sorting, wellness education, or wherever else we're needed. On top of volunteering, 1% of all Matcha Nude proceeds are donated to Bounty & Soul.

This partnership is personal. Matcha Nude founder Samm grew up relying on public aid, including help getting food on the table, and fresh produce was often out of reach for her family. When she moved to Asheville and found Bounty & Soul, she started volunteering right away, and building a real partnership between Matcha Nude and Bounty & Soul became one of the reasons she started this company in the first place.
