The George & Gianna Floyd Reentry Center is being developed to support young people ages 17–18 navigating reentry and major life transitions, connecting them with mentorship, education, workforce readiness, skilled-trade opportunities, resources, and pathways toward long-term stability.

Why “The First Mile”?Because sometimes the first opportunity, the first mentor, the first job, or the first person who believes in you can change everything that comes next.

Saving 17 is more than a gala. It is an opportunity to come together around a vision for second chances, stronger futures, and sustainable pathways forward.

Guests can expect an upscale black-tie experience, mission-centered programming, entertainment, networking, fundraising, and an opportunity to learn how individuals and corporate partners can become part of the work ahead.
