<h2>About the Event</h2><p>Something new is coming to life inside a familiar Downtown Minneapolis storefront.</p><p>Zero Empty Spaces is transforming the former Walgreens at 815 Nicollet Mall into an affordable working artist studio community, bringing creativity, connection, and new energy to the heart of Downtown Minneapolis.</p><p>Join us for A Night at the Pharmacy, a special open-house soft launch led by Minneapolis artist Marge J. Buckley inside her studio, located in the former pharmacy area of the building.</p><p>Guests will have the opportunity to explore the newly activated space, meet local artists, tour available studios, enjoy music and refreshments, and experience Marge’s full body of available work displayed together for the first time.</p><p>Whether you are an artist looking for a place to create, an art lover interested in supporting local talent, or a community member excited about the future of Nicollet Mall, you are invited to be part of the beginning.</p><h2>The Evening Will Feature</h2><ul><li>A featured exhibition of work by Marge J. Buckley</h2><p>A Night at the Pharmacy is being led by Marge J. Buckley, whose vision, creativity, and leadership are helping bring this new community of artists to life.</p><p>Marge is a Minneapolis-based painter and playwright whose work uses dramatic color and surreal compositions as tools of optimism. Her art explores the belief that transformation, possibility, and abundance are within our collective reach.</p><p>For this special evening, guests will have the rare opportunity to experience Marge’s full body of available work displayed together for the first time inside her new studio in the former Walgreens pharmacy.</p><p>Come support Marge, discover her work, and celebrate the next chapter of her creative journey.</p><h2>Featured Artist: Kay Rossbach</h2><p>Kay Rossbach is a Minneapolis-based illustrator, artist, designer, animator, and comics professional. His work will also be featured as part of the evening’s celebration of local creativity and artistic community.</p><h2>Artists: Your First Month of Studio Rent Could Be Free</h2><p>Zero Empty Spaces Minneapolis is now welcoming artists who want an affordable place to create outside their homes while working alongside a supportive community of fellow artists.</p><p>Artists who apply by August 31, 2026, select a studio, and join the community by September 4, 2026, will receive their first month of studio rent free.</p><p>New artists are also encouraged to move in and participate in A Night at the Pharmacy on September 4, introducing their work to the community as part of the soft launch.</p><p>Studios are available for $4 per square foot per month, including water and electricity, on a flexible month-to-month basis.</p><p>For reference, an average 96-square-foot studio is approximately $384 per month after the complimentary first month.</p><p>Zero Empty Spaces provides artists with:</p><ul><li>An affordable dedicated space to create</li><li>A professional environment outside the home</li><li>Opportunities to connect and collaborate with other artists</li><li>Greater public visibility and access to potential collectors</li><li>Participation in exhibitions, open studios, and community events</li><li>A growing creative community in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis</li></ul><p>Apply by August 31 at <a href="https://zeartistspaces.com/rentspace" title="https://zeartistspaces.com/rentspace" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ZEArtistSpaces.com/RentSpace</a> to be considered for the first-month-free offer.</p><h2>About Zero Empty Spaces</h2><p>Zero Empty Spaces transforms vacant commercial properties into affordable working artist studios, bringing creativity, community, and renewed activity into spaces that would otherwise remain empty.</p><p>Since launching in 2019, Zero Empty Spaces has activated dozens of locations across the country and provided studio opportunities to hundreds of artists.
