Sushi Rolling Workshop at Urbanrest

Roll, learn and create with Chef Mary from Geisha Girls Detroit at Urbanrest Brewing Company.

Choose from two separate, standalone hands-on sushi experiences. No previous sushi-making experience is required, and guests may attend either workshop without attending the other.

Tuesday, September 15 Sushi Rolling Workshop 6:00 PM–8:00 PM | $75 per person Build confidence with sushi-rolling fundamentals, including rice and nori handling, balanced fillings, rolling technique, clean slicing and presentation.

This two-hour workshop is limited to 20 guests. Thursday, September 17 Sushi Rolling Workshop + Sushi Showdown 6:00 PM–9:00 PM | $115 per person

Enjoy two hours of guided, hands-on sushi instruction followed by a friendly one-hour Sushi Showdown. Guests will use the techniques learned during the class to create and present their own roll.

Attendance at Tuesday’s workshop is not required. This three-hour experience is limited to 20 guests. Each Ticket Includes - Hands-on instruction with Chef Mary

- All sushi ingredients and workshop materials

- The sushi prepared during class

- One Urbanrest beverage, including beer, wine or a nonalcoholic option

Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before the workshop.

Classes begin promptly at 6:00 PM. Valid identification is required for alcoholic beverages. Nonalcoholic beverage options are available.

Please disclose all food allergies and dietary restrictions during registration. Fish, shellfish, soy, sesame, wheat and other common allergens may be present in the shared preparation environment.
