Kannibal Fest Berlin — Benefit Screening for Colombia
Kannibal Fest returns: Latin American short films + music in Berlin. Donation-based benefit for earthquake relief in Timbiquí, Colombia
Kannibal Fest is Back — A Night of Latin American Cinema & Solidarity for Colombia🇨🇴
📅 September 15 · 8:00 PM
📍 @rotbart Berlin
🎙️ Hosted by La’Dios
On August 10, 2026, a devastating earthquake struck Colombia, deeply impacting rural, Indigenous, and Afro-Colombian communities. In Timbiquí, Cauca alone, more than 3,193 families have been affected or displaced.
For six years, Kannibal Fest has bridged borders through independent cinema in Berlin. This September, we return to turn cinema into direct action.
Join us for a benefit screening featuring a curated short film program centered on Latin America—exploring themes of migration, territory, and Indigenous and Afro-descendant cultures. Followed by an evening of music, connection, and community.
In partnership with LAFI e.V., 100% of event proceeds will go directly toward rebuilding and equipping schools in Timbiquí, Cauca. Funds will cover:
Reconstructing classrooms and supplying desks
Purchasing learning materials and solar power systems
Transporting vital supplies to hard-to-reach areas
All rebuilding priorities are established in direct consultation with the affected communities.
