The Owens sisters are back! Lovestruck Books couldn't let October pass without hosting the fabulous Alice Hoffman at the Brattle Theatre followed by an exclusive PRACTICAL MAGIC after party at Lovestruck Books!

In conversation with actress and debut author of Grimoire Girl, Hilarie Burton Morgan, Alice will discuss Practical Magic 2 (Movie Tie-In Edition), a continuation of our favorite spellbinding sisters featuring family witches, sacrifice, and survival. This story is a breathtaking conclusion to the beloved series, bringing together three generations of Owens women for a dazzling finale that proves the only cure for love is to love more.

This year, your tickets include two books! You’ll take home a pre-signed copy of Practical Magic 2 (Movie Tie-In Edition), and in the spirit of mischief and magic, you’ll also receive a pre-signed copy of Grimoire Girl by actress and debut author Hilarie Burton Morgan.

Event Timing

• 5:30 PM: Welcome In – Doors open at the Brattle Theatre. Check in, pick up your pre-signed Practical Magic hardcover, and grab drinks and popcorn from concessions.
• 6:15 PM: Conversation Begins – Hilarie will join Alice for a conversation about Practical Magic 2!
• 7:00 PM: Screening Begins – Enjoy the classic, original Practical Magic movie!
• 8:45 PM: Film Wraps Up – Thanks for joining us! After Party Ticket holders are welcome to head over to Lovestruck Books & Cafe to kick off the fun.
• 11:00 PM: After Party Wraps Up – Thanks for joining us!

Tickets are limited, so grab yours soon! If the event sells out, you can join the Eventbrite waitlist by selecting “Reserve a spot” followed by “Join Waitlist”. Should any spots open up, you’ll have 24 hours to register before we offer it to the next person.

Accessibility

-> The Brattle Theatre’s main seating area is wheelchair and handicapped accessible, with adjacent companion seating. The box office and lobby/concessions area are accessible from street level by ramp (see below), and an elevator is provided for access to the main floor of the theater. There are two dedicated wheelchair positions with companion seating at the front of the theater, as well as flexible seating at the rear adjacent to the elevator door. Bathrooms are handicapped/wheelchair accessible. Balcony level seating is not wheelchair accessible.

Ramp Access: Use the walkway on the left side of the building and follow the ramp toward the rear of the building, where it will switch back toward the box office window, lobby and elevator entrance. The manager on duty will assist you in using our elevator to access the theatre.

Descriptive Audio: The Brattle offers Descriptive Audio devices for our blind and low-vision guests (select digital features only where indicated on website). Devices may be requested from our staff in the lobby.

Closed Captions & Assisted Listening: The Brattle offers Closed Captions for our hearing impaired guests (select digital features only where indicated on website). Assisted Listening Devices are available with all features and programs. Devices may be requested from our staff in the lobby.

-> Lovestruck Books & Cafe’s side entrance (located on the right side of the building) is wheelchair accessible and has a ramp that guests with accessibility needs are welcome to use.

Book Pickup Policy

If you purchased a book with your event ticket but can’t make it to the event—and don’t request a refund—we’ll happily hold your book for pickup for up to 30 days after the event date.

We’ll be in touch via the email you provided at checkout to help coordinate pickup. After 30 days, if we haven’t heard from you or made other arrangements, we’ll consider the book abandoned property and may donate it or return it to inventory so it can find a new home.
