Artificial intelligence is becoming embedded in how companies conduct human rights due diligence (HRDD), from supply chain risk screening and worker engagement to grievance intake and audit analytics.
Yet as AI tools are being used more widely, it is critical that the human rights risks they create are assessed with the same rigor as the risks they are meant to identify.
This side event invites businesses and civil society representatives to examine what rights-based AI human rights due diligence looks like in practice, and what risks companies operating under a rapidly evolving EU regulatory landscape should be aware of when using AI tools.
