Autistic Adults of OKC

Autistic Adults of OKC

Overview

The gang gets cozy for fall.

Join us at Will Rogers Garden Center for a cozy evening of relaxed socializing and a fall craft project that participants can take home.

Feel free to bring a game to play if you'd like. We will have a variety to choose from as well.

Water and light snacks will be provided.

This social is facilitated by an autistic person and is peer-led for autistic/neurodivergent/disabled adults only, so we can have a space that is ours, have autonomy, and unmask. If you are a parent, we encourage you to drop off and pick up so we can keep the space for autistic/neurodivergent/disabled adults. Caregivers are encouraged to drop off and take respite for themselves during events.

Socialization is good for your mental health and promotes wellness in numerous ways. Those with neurodivergence have a high risk of suicidality, and our socials aim to prevent that by providing a safe place where people can be themselves, make real connections, and feel seen.
