New Classics Film Series: E.T.

From acclaimed director Steven Spielberg (of Indiana Jones and Back to the Future), comes the science-fiction classic, E.T., a heartbreaking tale about love, friendship, and childhood wonder. This October, join us in following the lives of three young kids Elliot (played by a young Henry Thomas), Gertie (played by a young Drew Barrymore), and Michael (Robert McNaughton) embark on the adventure of a lifetime as they struggle to rescue and return an extra-terrestrial to its home planet. 

This film series is open to families and children of all ages! Come and watch with us as this wondrous coming-of-age story unfolds. We sincerely hope you will come and reminisce with us this autumn.

Looking for a free film series for the whole family? New Classics at the Library for the Performing Arts is our new series featuring films you know and love. Join us on select Saturdays at 1 PM to experience iconic stories on the big screen at our Bruno Walter Auditorium.

Each film screening will be introduced by a specially curated short film from our Reserve Film and Video Collection, offering a unique look at our collection.
