Danny Frank & The Smoky Gold album release concert

Steeped in musical traditions of folk, bluegrass, country, classic rock, and blues, Danny Frank & The Smoky Gold offers a genre-blending sound that is captivating, invigorating, and sure to get your toe tapping.

After two decades of writing songs and performing as a solo artist, Danny Frank released of his debut album "Smoky Gold" in 2021. He then assembled an all-star cast of seasoned musicians to fully compliment his music.

“The Smoky Gold” is comprised of banjo player Harrison Olk (Tin Can Gin, Cascade Crescendo, Kind Country Band), bassist Joe Scarpellino (Smokin’ Joe, Dead Larry), and fiddle savant Erin Aldridge (Concert Master - Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra).

Together the group has recorded and released the full length album "Dedication."

Opening the evening will be Adam Greuel (Horseshoes & Hand Grenades) and Kenny Leiser (Joseph Huber).

Advance e-tickets will go on sale for $20 (plus $3.18 in fees) at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11 on Eventbrite. Paper tickets will be available at Globe News in Superior for $20 (cash only) and Zenith Bookstore in West Duluth for $20 (plus $1 handling fee). Tickets will be available at the door for $25 while supply lasts. Doors at 6 :30 pm. Music at 7:30.
